The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Lagos State chapter, has asked Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to resign for his inability to control the insecurity situation in the state which sprout up as a result of the EndSARS protest.

In a statement on November 1st, through its spokesperson, Taofik Gani, PDP said the governor seemed to have been overwhelmed by the current challenges facing the state.

The PDP asked the governor of Lagos state to vacate office now that it has been confirmed that he has a hand in the killings of the protesters at Lekki tollgate.

The Party claimed that Lagos residents cannot trust Sanwo-Olu any more for reportedly denying his own actions.

However, the All Progressives Congress (APC), Lagos chapter has faulted PDP’s call for Sanwo-Olu’s resignation saying that the call was unwarranted.

Meanwhile, the curfew imposed on Lagos residents following violence by hoodlums who hijacked a peaceful protest against police brutality has been lifted.
