National Assembly members from Ebonyi State have disowned Governor David Umahi over his defection from Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to All Progressives Congress (APC).
On Tuesday, Umahi announced his defection from Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to All Progressives Congress (APC).
In reaction, the leader of the Ebonyi State PDP caucus in the National Assembly, Senator Sam Egwu, who read the position of his colleagues at a press conference in Abuja on Wednesday, said none of the lawmakers would defect with Umahi.
They described as unacceptable and selfish, the reasons given by Umahi for his action.
Recall, OejNews reported that Association of Ebonyi State Indigenes in the Diaspora (AESID) in a statement on Wednesday, has warned APC to be wary of Governor Umahi, whom they described as “a man of insatiable greed, selfishness and lust for political power”.
